London (July 13, 2023) Roc Nation Sports International (RNSI) today announced the signing of Brazil and West Ham Midfielder, Lucas Paquetá.

Paquetá’s signing represents the first one from the newly formed Brazilian office of Roc Nation Sports International, led by Frederico Pena. It also unites Paquetá with one of his closest friends and Brazilian team mates, Vini Jr, another client of Roc Nation Sports International.

“I am delighted to welcome Lucas Paquetá to our family. We were determined that our first player announcement following the launch of our Brazilian office had to be a big one,” said Frederico Pena, CEO of Roc Nation Sports International’s Brazil office.

Born in Rio, the 25-year-old is a product of Flamengo’s youth academy and made his First Team debut as a teenager, before making the transition into Europe in 2019. Paquetá signed for West Ham United in the summer of 2022 and, having featured for Brazil in the Qatar World Cup, he finished the season by providing the assist for the winning goal in the Uefa Conference League Final.

Paqueta is an ever-present in the Brazil National Team and he has scored 9 goals in 42 games for his country. He joins a powerful Roc Nation roster, including Vini Jr, Romelu Lukaku, Federico Dimarco, Kevin De Bruyne, Endrick, Chris Richards, Gabriel Martinelli, and Axel Witsel.

“This is just the start of things to come. The signing of Lucas Paquetá is another sign of our intent to recruit the best players in the world of football. Our Brazilian colleagues have built a roster that is second to none in South America and, in the case of Lucas Paquetá, they have done it again.” said Michael Yormark, President of Roc Nation Sports International. “I am proud to join the Roc Nation Family,” said Paquetá, “I want to achieve great things on and off the pitch. I have a strong team around me now and I am excited about the future.”
