Hoops

Raised by Los Angeles, singer/songwriter Sofia “Hoops” comes with an opera degree from a top New York conservatory. Hoops has worked with producers/artists like Childish Gambino, Danger Mouse, Cirkut, Ariel Rechtshaid and Ludwig Goransson. Her initiation to writing began alongside producer JR Rotem and Jesse St. John crafting original classical and pop music for Fox's EMPIRE. Most recently, Hoops lent her vocals to MAID, a Netflix original.

Sofia’s list of collaborators has expanded to include the likes of Ava Max, Electric Guest, M83, Elohim, Cirque du Soleil, Cass McCombs and more. Break out singles include Elohim and Wethan "Sleepy Eyes", Ava Max “Blood Sweat & Tears”, Skylar Stecker "Don’t Test Me" and Nombe’s “Weirdo”. Capitalizing on her latin roots, Hoops writes fluently in Spanish, racking up collabs and co-writes alongside the likes of REIK (Sony Music), Jenn Morel ("Peligrosa"), Isabela Moner (Republic) and Victoria La Mala (roc nation).
Operatically, Hoops has performed with the LA Opera, the Kronos Quartet, Josh Groban and the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus.
